Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barristan The Bold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gennaro Trivieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trivieri has chosen Deep Purple - Child in Time as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barristan The Bold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gennaro Trivieri!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trivieri scoring well with a low kick there.
Gennaro Trivieri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trivieri moves out of range of the strikes.
The Bold looks to score with a jab to the body but Trivieri is just out of range.
Trivieri tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and The Bold is able to avoid easily.
Trivieri ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The Bold throws a lazy uppercut
and Trivieri counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Trivieri lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Trivieri defending well as The Bold loads up on a big left hand.
The Bold lands a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Bold lands with a good body shot.
The Bold keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Trivieri misses the jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Trivieri. That's going to slow The Bold down.
Trivieri throws out a powerful jab.

Trivieri finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
The Bold has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Trivieri.
The Bold fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Trivieri connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed The Bold momentarily.
Trivieri scores with the left hand. The Bold knows he should have avoided that one.
The Bold connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Trivieri's hands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The Bold feints and as Trivieri raises his hands in defense, The Bold changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The Bold drops back looking for a leg! Trivieri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trivieri manages to kick The Bold off! The Bold jumps back into Trivieri's guard.
Trivieri is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The Bold got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trivieri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The Bold has managed to get both his arms back between Trivieri's legs - danger averted.
Trivieri is trying to keep The Bold in close.

The Bold thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Trivieri is trying to control the position but The Bold postures up.
Trivieri keeping full guard, as The Bold tries to pass.
Trivieri pulls The Bold in close to prevent any damage.
The Bold pushes down on Trivieri's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Trivieri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Bold. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Bold works his way into full mount!

The Bold jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Trivieri manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The Bold wants to control but Trivieri is keeping him busy.
Trivieri tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The Bold wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The Bold sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Trivieri is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Trivieri throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

The Bold wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trivieri, who protects the arm well.
Trivieri can't do much from the bottom here.

The Bold is working to tighten is grip on Trivieri's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Trivieri has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but The Bold is really squeezing tight and eventually Trivieri passes out! The Bold breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
