Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Munchack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Mir is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklin Munchack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Munchack to the ground. Mir is now in Munchack's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Mir won't allow Munchack to sweep him here. Mir trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Munchack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mir slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Munchack looking for a sweep. Not yet Munchack, not yet. Mir lands a couple of digs. Mir looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Munchack manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mir manages to get himself to full guard.
Munchack passes Mir's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Munchack is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Munchack working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mir's thigh. Mir counters though and makes it back to full guard. Munchack trying to control but Mir is working from the bottom. Mir working a defensive guard here.
Mir seems keen to control Munchack's posture. Munchack looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Munchack throws an elbow that misses. Mir uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Munchack's guard. Nice move by Mir! Munchack keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully. Mir distracts Munchack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mir stopping the sweep attempt from Munchack. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mir trying to control but Munchack is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Mir hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mir clobbers Munchack with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mir doesn't manage to clinch there - Munchack circles away.
Mir works Munchack's body with a nice hook. Mir clinches up with Munchack and pushes him back against the cage. Munchack tries to pull guard but Mir holds him up against the cage and eventually Munchack drops back down to his feet.
Munchack tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mir lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mir is trying to control the action in half guard but Munchack is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mir content to control rather than advance. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mir connects with a nice short shot to Munchack's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir is trying to work for a kimura but Munchack is defending well.
Munchack on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Munchack is looking to improve his position.
Munchack is trying to stand.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mir lands a nice short elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Munchack looking for a kimura from the bottom but Mir passes into side control! Munchack tries to get back to half guard but can't. Munchack is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mir shoots in looking for a takedown but Munchack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mir jabs Munchack right on the nose. Munchack blinks but takes it well. Munchack waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mir. Mir throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Munchack was covering up waiting for the punch and Mir finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Munchack is looking for a triangle but Mir pushes his legs off easily.
Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Munchack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Munchack wants to hit a switch here but Mir passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Munchack there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munchack is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Munchack turns into him and now he's in Mir's guard.
Munchack is looking to pass into half guard but Mir pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mir is in guard. Mir would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Munchack looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mir puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mir tries to pass the half guard into mount. Munchack knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Munchack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir stands up out of the half guard. Munchack connects with a nice looking jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mir misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Munchack misses with a combination
and Mir counters with a shoot takedown. Munchack fights it but they end up in guard. Mir has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Munchack is proving hard to escape from. Munchack has his foot on Mir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mir works his way back into a safe position though. Munchack working a defensive guard but Mir passes into half guard.
Munchack is looking to get back to full guard here but Mir has managed to pass to side control instead. Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Munchack keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munchack manages to get back to half guard. Munchack is looking for a sweep. Mir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mir stands up out of the half guard. Mir throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Mir takes the fight into the clinch. Munchack manages to pull guard.
Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Munchack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Munchack looking for a sweep. Not yet Munchack, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir is looking to stand up but Munchack won't let him. Frank Mir has got the better of the ground game so far. Mir stands and throws Munchack's legs to the side, diving into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Munchack's face as Mir controls the position. Mir has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Munchack napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mir is looking to take a break and control but Munchack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Munchack tries to buck Mir off but Mir is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Mir moves into range and clinches up with Munchack. Mir gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Munchack is not content to let Mir control the position. Munchack keeping control of the position. Mir is working for a kimura but Munchack is defending it quite comfortably.
Munchack moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Munchack wants to sweep here but Mir controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir trying to control but Munchack is working from the bottom. Munchack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Munchack wants to control the position but Mir says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Mir stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Munchack swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir stuffs the takedown. Munchack shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mir as he avoids it easily. Mir looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Munchack! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mir trying to control the position but Munchack is working away. This has been an exciting period of action! Munchack is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mir dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Munchack throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Mir counter with a right hand. Mir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Munchack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mir gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Munchack manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mir on his heels. He'll look to pass Mir's guard now, I'm sure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Munchack passes Mir's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Munchack is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Munchack is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mir sees it coming and defends easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Munchack is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Franklin Munchack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frank Mir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mir is trying to maintain the position but Munchack is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Frank Mir! A less than humble Frank Mir misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
