Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Marimo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yury Mandigozhin! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marimo misses with a series of wild punches.
Mandigozhin with a lazy takedown attempt and Marimo counters with a left and a right that stings Mandigozhin. Marimo throws a head kick but Mandigozhin moves out of range.
Mandigozhin misses with a takedown attempt and Marimo counters with a three punch combo that has Mandigozhin backing up. Mandigozhin nods at Marimo to acknowledge the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mandigozhin misses with a wild combination.
Mandigozhin misses with a hook to the body
and Marimo counters with a stiff right hand. Marimo throws a right hand that Mandigozhin ducks under and follows up with a left that Mandigozhin also avoids with ease. Mandigozhin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mandigozhin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Marimo counters with a one-two to the body. Luke Marimo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yury Mandigozhin. No luck for Mandigozhin with that takedown attempt. Mandigozhin thows a body kick. Marimo tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mandigozhin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mandigozhin looks to clinch and Marimo counters with a crisp one two that drops Mandigozhin! Marimo thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mandigozhin to his feet! Mandigozhin is in big trouble!
Mandigozhin is rocked! Mandigozhin looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mandigozhin tries to clinch but fails miserably and Marimo counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Mandigozhin falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Luke Marimo!
