Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Leblanc!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblanc defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Griffin.

Leblanc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leblanc gets slowly back to his feet.
Marcus Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Leblanc.
Leblanc throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Griffin's waist but Griffin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leblanc off to one side.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Griffin connects with a nice short shot to Leblanc's temple.

Griffin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Leblanc's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Griffin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leblanc scrambles back to his feet.
Leblanc doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffin circles away.

Griffin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Leblanc tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Griffin is in Leblanc's guard.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leblanc has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Leblanc's legs - danger averted.

Griffin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
