Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holy Diver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diver has chosen Holy Diver by Dio as his entrance music. Holy Diver struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Shawn Henderson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Holy Diver's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Holy Diver!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Diver shoots in and bounces Henderson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Diver lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Henderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Diver controls the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diver's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Diver is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Henderson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diver is aware though and is defending well.
Diver keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Henderson's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diver is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diver chips away with some ground and pound.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Diver trying to control the position from guard on top but Henderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diver postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Diver lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Diver working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Henderson's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diver wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving.
Diver is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Henderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Diver stands up over Henderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Diver postures up in Henderson's guard and throws a big left but Henderson blocks it.
Diver lands a couple of digs.
Diver slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Henderson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Diver is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Henderson.
Henderson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Diver happy to just control the position for now.
Diver working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Check out the look on Diver's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Henderson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diver creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Henderson is rocked!
Diver has hold of Henderson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Henderson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Diver cranks the arm and Henderson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Henderson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Holy Diver!
