Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bundy comes to the cage accompanied by Bad to The Bone. William has chosen Outlaw's Reward as his entrance music. Al Bundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Al Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, James William!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bundy shoots in and bounces William off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
William wants to sweep but no luck.
Bundy trying to control but William is working from the bottom.
William keeping full guard, as Bundy tries to pass.
William managing to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bundy passes into half guard.

William looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
William is trying to control but can't.

William avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bundy.
Bundy trying to mount his opponent but William defends it.
William moves into full guard.
Bundy throws a big elbow that misses.

Bundy got a little sloppy there for a moment and William has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bundy has managed to get both his arms back between William's legs - danger averted.
Bundy wants to control from the top but William keeps moving.

William is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bundy defends well.

Bundy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! William is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! William has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bundy is trying to control the position but William postures up.
William postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

William postures up in Bundy's guard and throws a big left but Bundy blocks it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
William stands up over Bundy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bundy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bundy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in William's guard.

William had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bundy defends it easily.
Bundy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bundy lands a couple of digs.
Bundy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bundy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so William is just riding it out for now. Bundy eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bundy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for William!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Bundy dominated that round.

Bundy throws a hook to the side of William's head but William sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
William throws a nice inside leg kick.
Bundy misses with a wild combination.
William dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
William fails to land with a series of punches.
William throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Bundy. That snapped William's head back.


It looks like James William has been cut.
Bundy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from William.
Bundy thows a leg kick but William checks it

and William counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

William tries to free his leg and advance position but Bundy is retaining full guard.

Bundy has momentary wrist control but William slips an elbow through the middle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bundy is trying to stick to William's back but William is turning into Bundy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bundy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by William.

Bundy throws a shot from downtown. William moves away and avoids it.

Bundy shoots in for a takedown but William shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts William, as that shot connected.

Bundy drops down looking for an ankle pick but William pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
