The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pak lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mchugh backs up against the cage.
Pak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mchugh but Mchugh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mchugh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pak counters with a two punch combo.
Mchugh is rocked!
Pak's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pak duly obliges.
Mchugh is still on wobbly legs! Can Pak finish him?
Mchugh takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pak scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Pak clobbers Mchugh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mchugh shoots and misses
and Pak counters by moving into the clinch.
Pak breaks the clinch.
Mchugh seems to have recovered his senses.
Pak throws a right hand that Mchugh ducks under and follows up with a left that Mchugh also avoids with ease.
Pak scores with a hook to the body. Mchugh takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pak moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pak throws a nice looking combination but Mchugh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mchugh misses with a takedown attempt
and Pak counters with a one-two to the body.
Tetra Pak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micky Mchugh.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mchugh shoots and misses
and Pak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mchugh looks gassed!
Pak circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Mchugh drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pak follows Mchugh to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tetra Pak!
