Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Brouwer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Brouwer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Brouwer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

McCoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brouwer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brouwer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCoy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ernesto Brouwer just wasn't active enough.
Brouwer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCoy missing with a left hand there. Brouwer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McCoy looks to land a left hand but Brouwer moved out of range nicely.
Brouwer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McCoy tests Brouwer's chin there with a solid looking shot.

McCoy cracks Brouwer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Brouwer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McCoy finish him?

McCoy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McCoy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shady McCoy dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



McCoy lands a big right hand that sends Brouwer crashing to the mat! McCoy stays standing though and waves Brouwer back to his feet!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Brouwer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McCoy scores with a hook to the body. Brouwer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McCoy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Brouwer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McCoy.

Shady McCoy seems to be getting the better of the standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slow jab from McCoy misses its intended target.
Brouwer moves away from the strike by McCoy.
McCoy lands with a shot to the body.

McCoy drops Brouwer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brouwer looks back up at him and smiles so McCoy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shady McCoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Brouwer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ernesto Brouwer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McCoy parries the strikes from Brouwer easily there. Brouwer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McCoy to escape.

McCoy wants to control but Brouwer postures up.
Brouwer is putting a hurting on McCoy here, landing some big shots from side control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brouwer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
McCoy is looking to regain half guard here but Brouwer keeps moving and retains side control.

Shady McCoy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Brouwer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McCoy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCoy scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brouwer in his tracks.

Oh Brouwer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brouwer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCoy, pushing him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Brouwer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Brouwer is trying to drag McCoy to the mat but McCoy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
McCoy is trying to break the clinch but Brouwer is controlling him.

Brouwer is working for takedown but McCoy is calmly controlling the position for now.

Brouwer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brouwer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McCoy takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Shady McCoy.
I've got McCoy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
