Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Dirt!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dirt drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jacobs throws a one two combo.
Jacobs moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches.

Jacobs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dirt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

and Jacobs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dirt looks for a takedown but Jacobs sprawls well.
Peter Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jacobs closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dirt quickly recovers to half guard.

Dirt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dirt there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dirt closes the distance looking to clinch
and Jacobs counters with a series of strikes. Dirt will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dirt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jacobs.

Jacobs shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dirt eats them both and turns towards Jacobs to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Dirt fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacobs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dirt can do to turn this around?

Jacobs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jacobs's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jacobs shoots in looking for a takedown. Dirt tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dirt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
