Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Del Rio might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Requiem for a dream. Joe Dirt has the eye of the tiger tonight.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Dirt! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Rio rushes Dirt and presses him up against the cage. Del Rio stops a takedown attempt from Dirt.
Del Rio looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Dirt is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Del Rio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dirt drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Del Rio gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alberto Del Rio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Dirt. Del Rio pulls Dirt into guard.
Del Rio on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Del Rio tries to get out of the position. Dirt working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Del Rio's head. Dirt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Del Rio is keeping the position for now. Dirt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Del Rio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dirt has Del Rio in his guard. Dirt has a closed guard, preventing Del Rio from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt wants to sweep here but Del Rio controlling him for the moment. Del Rio wants to get up but he can't break Dirt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Alberto Del Rio wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Dirt fails with a takedown attempt. Dirt circles away from the clinch attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio slips a jab from Dirt. Del Rio has Dirt up against the cage in a clinch.

Dirt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Del Rio! Del Rio is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dirt stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Del Rio on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Del Rio digs a right hand underneath Dirt's ribcage. Dirt let out a lung full of air as it connected. Del Rio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Del Rio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Del Rio wants to clinch. Del Rio pushes Dirt up against the cage in a clinch. Del Rio leaning against his opponent.
A short uppercut from Del Rio. Del Rio scores with a shoulder strike. Dirt is working for takedown but Del Rio is calmly controlling the position for now. Del Rio stalling against the cage.

Del Rio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dirt swats him away and circles back towards the center. Del Rio gets a clinch. Dirt is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Del Rio pulls him back up using the underhooks. Del Rio working some nice short punches in the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Del Rio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dirt is rocked!
It looks like Joe Dirt has been cut. Del Rio creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Dirt's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Dirt drops to his knees and Del Rio pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
