The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reynolds in particular looking to stall.
Hagman wants to get back to his feet.

Hagman steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Reynolds. That one must have hurt.

and Reynolds counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Reynolds won't allow Hagman to get back to his feet.
Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hagman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reynolds is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hagman is looking to stand up but Reynolds isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reynolds is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hagman closes the distance looking to clinch
and Reynolds counters with a big head kick but Hagman shrugs it off.

Reynolds tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hagman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hagman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You get the feeling that Hagman really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Reynolds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
