Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Thiago Khan has been cut.
Khan misses with a takedown
and Aldo counters with a stiff right hand.
Aldo lands a two punch combo.
Aldo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aldo tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aldo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Aldo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Aldo throws a big elbow that misses.
Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aldo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khan is keeping the position for now.

Aldo is working hard here to advance position.
Khan looking for a triangle here. Aldo is fighting it but it looks tight! Khan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Aldo is tapping out - this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Thiago Khan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
