Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastaio Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mata tries to buck Carvalho off but Carvalho is having none of it.
Mata sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Carvalho stops Mata from getting back to his feet.
Mata is looking for a sweep. Carvalho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mata is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carvalho scores with a couple of nice shots.
Carvalho wants to control but Mata is keeping him busy.
Mata is concentrating on defense, preventing Carvalho from advancing position.
Mata is breathing heavily.
Mata is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mata manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mata knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carvalho on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carvalho postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
