Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ice Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man's entrance music is Lights Out. A fine choice. Dennis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bark at the moon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ice Man! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Dennis! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dennis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Man misses with a hook. Dennis ducked under it nicely. Man lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dennis circles away quickly and effectively. Dennis throws a lazy uppercut
and Man holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Man's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jorge Dennis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dennis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Man manages to avoid it. Dennis shoots in and gets a takedown into Man's guard. Man keeping moving, preventing Dennis from controlling successfully. Man looking for a sweep. Not yet Man, not yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dennis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dennis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Man seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dennis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Man's guard. Dennis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Man tries to roll over but Dennis keeps him under control. Dennis tries to pass the half guard into mount. Man knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dennis is trying to control. Man wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dennis performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis is thwarting Man's attempts to control the position. Dennis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dennis is taking a breather. Man says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Dennis trying to control from Man's half guard. Man has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Man keeping moving, preventing Dennis from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is trying to control the position but Dennis postures up. Dennis trying to control but Man is working from the bottom. Dennis won't allow Man to sweep him here. Dennis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Man is pulling down on Dennis's head. It's preventing any offense from Dennis, at least for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Man throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Man swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dennis counters with a shoot takedown. Man fights it but they end up in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis is fighting to break Man's control of his arms but Man is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Man wants to control but Dennis passes easily into half guard.
Man manages to get to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dennis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Man is adopting a defensive guard. Dennis won't allow Man to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Dennis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Man stuffs the takedown attempt from Dennis. Dennis gets slowly back to his feet. Dennis misses with a body shot.

Dennis shoots for a double leg takedown but Man sprawls well. He's pushed Dennis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ice Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Dennis. A punch combination from Man misses. A slow jab from Man misses its intended target. A looping hook to the body misses from Dennis. Man does a little dance to reset his feet. Dennis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Man staying out of range there.

Man throws a lazy right hand but Dennis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A slow jab from Man misses its intended target. Man uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dennis. Dennis avoids the head kick by Man.
Man connects with a body shot. Dennis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Man to the mat! Man manages to get full guard. Man wants to stand but Dennis is controlling the position. Dennis preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man wants to stand up but Dennis is controlling him. Dennis stopping the sweep attempt from Man. Dennis looking to sit in guard and control but Man gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Man trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dennis's guard. Dennis is trying to hold Man in close to prevent damage but Man has managed to pass into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Man is trying to control the action in half guard but Dennis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Man controlling the pace. Dennis is trying to control but Man manages to pass to mount!
Dennis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Man pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dennis back to the cage. Man follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Dennis throws a jab when Man was well out of range. Dennis misses the shot to the body. Dennis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Man. Man throws a predictable looking body shot

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Man is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Dennis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dennis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Man haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Man is staying active underneath Dennis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Man controlling the position for now. Man makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Man. Dennis is looking to work some ground and pound but Man has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man wants to sweep but no luck. Dennis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dennis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dennis looking to pass the guard. Man looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Man is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ice Man just wasn't active enough. Man thows a body shot but no joy. Dennis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Man misses with the combination.
Dennis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dennis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard. Nice strikes from Dennis there.

Ice Man is winning the standup battle so far. Man doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Man misses the shot to the body. Good exchange - Dennis coming out on top. Dennis shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dennis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Man.

Man is staying active underneath Dennis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dennis prevents Man from improving his position. Ice Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dennis moves out of range of the body kick. Ice Man is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dennis misses with a wild body shot. Man tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dennis was well out of range. Poor timing from Man.
And that's the end of the fight! Jorge Dennis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dennis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
