Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tam Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe fails with the takedown enabling Conway to counter with a crisp jab. Conway connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Doe's hands. Doe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Conway counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doe won't be happy with that. Doe tries to escape but Conway is in control. Doe is trying to control Conway's posture but Conway avoids it. Doe is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Doe manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Conway trying to pass the guard but Doe defending well. Conway lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Conway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doe on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Doe has momentary wrist control but Conway slips an elbow through the middle. Conway wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving. Doe looking for a guillotine here but Conway defends easily.
Doe trying to keep a closed guard but Conway is proving a slippery customer.
Conway trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conway content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Doe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Doe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Doe looks winded! Doe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Conway engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Conway trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom. Conway is stalling in the full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tam Conway. Doe misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe has his takedown stuffed and Conway counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tam Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Doe wants to clinch but Conway slips to the side and Conway counters with a nice uppercut. Conway lands a two punch combo.
Conway fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Conway pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Doe back to the cage. Conway follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Doe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Doe tries to clinch there but Conway circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conway throws a one two combo.
Doe with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Conway to score with a decent uppercut. Doe misses with a takedown and Conway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Doe gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Conway. Conway throws a series of punches but Doe avoids them all with ease. Conway connects with a looping right hand.
Doe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Conway counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Conway, as that shot connected.
Conway scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tam Conway dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Conway throws a combination. Doe tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Doe misses with a takedown and Conway counters with a right hand to the body. Conway cracks Doe with an open hand slap. Doe lands with a kick to the temple. Conway shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Conway jabs at Doe's body. Doe with a poor takedown enabling Conway to counter with a crisp jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Conway darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Doe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Doe is breathing heavily. Conway connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Doe momentarily.
Doe throws a right and a left that Conway avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe tries to clinch up but Conway circles away and keeps his distance. Tam Conway is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Doe tries to clinch but Conway is having none of it. Conway lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Conway paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Doe has his takedown stuffed and Conway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Tam Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Left hook, right uppercut from Conway. Doe with a poor takedown and Conway cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Conway scores with a hook to the body. Doe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Doe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conway throws a right and a left that Doe avoids nicely. Doe misses with a takedown attempt and Conway counters with a series of strikes. Doe will be more careful next time no doubt. A left and a right from Conway both land. Nice combination. Left hook, right uppercut from Conway. Conway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Doe with a lazy takedown attempt and Conway counters with a lovely shot to the body. Left hook, right uppercut from Conway. Tam Conway is winning the standup battle so far. Conway lands with a nice body punch. Doe looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Conway misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Conway. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Conway. Doe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Conway cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Conway connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Conway stalks Doe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Doe's face. Doe staggers backwards, shaken. Conway scores with a sloppy right hand. Doe should have avoided that one. Conway keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Doe moves in looking to clinch but Conway pushes him off. Conway fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Doe on the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conway scores with a jab to the head.
Conway lands a jab to Doe's midsection. Doe tries for a takedown but Conway circles away easily and Conway counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Conway!
Conway jabs Doe to the body, keeping him at a distance. Conway lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Conway fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Doe has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A punch combination from Conway misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tam Conway dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Doe moves in looking to clinch but Conway pushes him off. Doe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jab by Conway.

Doe wants to clinch. A combination from Conway does no damage. Doe has his takedown stuffed and Conway counters with a single leg into guard. Doe didn't expect that. Tam Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Conway trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom. Conway has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Doe is proving hard to escape from. Conway working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tam Conway overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conway is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Conway keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Doe's head. Conway is working Doe over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Conway got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conway has managed to get both his arms back between Doe's legs - danger averted. This has been an exciting period of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Conway's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Conway postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Conway postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Conway scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Conway has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Conway trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Conway works over Doe with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway controls from within his opponent's guard. Conway working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Doe keeping full guard, as Conway tries to pass. Conway trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom. Conway gets to his feet. Doe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Doe takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Conway lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Doe backs up against the cage.

Doe moves forwards but Conway connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nice body punch from Conway. Conway scores with a hook to the body. Doe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Conway stalks Doe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Doe's face. Doe staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Conway displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. John Doe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tam Conway is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! Tam Conway showed his dominance in that final round. Well Conway has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
