Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kendall Mole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neil Santos!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mole misses with a hook.
Mole gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Santos finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Santos looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Santos looking to pass the guard.
Mole controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself.
Mole is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Santos is controlling him.
Santos landing with the ground and pound.
Santos with a nice head shot there.
Mole scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mole fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Santos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Santos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mole quickly recovers to half guard.
Santos postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mole to stand up.
Santos gets a clinch.
Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown by Mole or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendall Mole. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mole is breathing heavily.
Santos lands a nice looking body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mole wants to clinch up but Santos keeps it at a distance.
Santos scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Santos stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Santos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mole tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Santos is in Mole's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Santos drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Santos as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mole screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Santos! Nice submission victory there!
