PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aslak Joikhaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolor Pulchra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Aslak Joikhaaja has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aslak Joikhaaja seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dolor Pulchra!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joikhaaja looks for a takedown but Pulchra sprawls well.

Pulchra manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Joikhaaja on his heels. He'll look to pass Joikhaaja's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dolor Pulchra wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pulchra looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Joikhaaja shoots in and bounces Pulchra off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Joikhaaja tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pulchra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Joikhaaja somewhat.

Pulchra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Joikhaaja looks a forlorn figure.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aslak Joikhaaja will probably get the nod.

Pulchra turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pulchra manages to end up in side control.

I would just about give that final round to Dolor Pulchra.
