Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGirk has chosen This Is Who I Am as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dirt McGirk struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eddy Matsui! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dirt McGirk! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsui throws a hook to the side of McGirk's head but McGirk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McGirk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matsui circles away quickly and effectively. Matsui throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Matsui ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGirk moves away. Matsui misses with a wild body shot. Matsui just misses with a punch to the body.
McGirk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McGirk lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McGirk!
Matsui gets a double leg takedown into McGirk's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Matsui trying to control but McGirk is working from the bottom. Matsui drops back, looking for a kneebar! McGirk looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McGirk looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McGirk! Matsui is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McGirk off and has taken his back! McGirk tries to roll but Matsui sticks to his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsui is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. McGirk defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Matsui biding his time, controlling McGirk. McGirk covering up well under a series of strikes from Matsui. McGirk fending off the submission attempt from Matsui. Matsui lands shots from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsui is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. McGirk is defending well though. Matsui let's go of the attempt for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Matsui lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Matsui.
Matsui thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Matsui is working for a rear naked choke. McGirk is not defending it well and Matsui has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! McGirk refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of McGirk's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eddy Matsui! An out of breath Eddy Matsui thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
