The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guarino throws a right hand that von Altenburg ducks under and follows up with a left that von Altenburg also avoids with ease.

Guarino shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Guarino was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Guarino is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But von Altenburg has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from von Altenburg!
Guarino has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but von Altenburg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
