Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. My Hero kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustavo Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Ricardo! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ricardo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Perez counters by clinching up. Ricardo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Perez takes an elbow to the temple. Ricardo tries to circle away but Perez has him pinned against the cage. Ricardo is trying to break free. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ricardo looks to throw an elbow but misses. Perez tries to score a body lock takedown but Ricardo shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Good body shot from Perez.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ricardo trying to land knees to the body.
Perez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ricardo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Ricardo tries to stall but Perez uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Perez prevents Ricardo from breaking the clinch. Ricardo is trying to push Perez away but Perez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Perez is trying to trip Ricardo. He has hold of a leg but Ricardo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Perez persists though and gets the takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Perez passes Ricardo's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ricardo is looking to get back to is feet but Perez passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez tries for a kimura but Ricardo is defending well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perez tries for a kimura but Ricardo is defending well. Perez has an Americana. Ricardo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Perez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Perez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
