The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Commers doesn't manage to clinch there - McMahon circles away.
McMahon scores with a nice head shot.
Commers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McMahon as he jumps to the side.
Commers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McMahon sprawls well initially but Commers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McMahon can do anything to dispel that myth.

McMahon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Commers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
