Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Niklaus Michaels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Peterson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Peterson to score with a decent uppercut. Dylan Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peterson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Peterson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Peterson lands with a good body shot. Michaels gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Peterson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Michaels is rocked! Peterson looks to land a body kick but Michaels moved away. Michaels walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Peterson rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Michaels has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action. Oh Michaels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Peterson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Michaels seems to have got his legs back now. Peterson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Michaels. Peterson throws an overhand right that lands on Michaels's shoulder, as Michaels tries to avoid the shot. Peterson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Peterson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Michaels slips under a jab. Nice jab there from Peterson. Michaels moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels swings for the body but Peterson moves out of range.
Michaels feints and then cracks Peterson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Peterson down. Peterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peterson cracks Michaels with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Michaels is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Michaels is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No joy there for Peterson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A jab lands there for Peterson. Michaels walks into a big right hand from Peterson and goes down! The referee sends Peterson to a neutral corner as Michaels gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way. Peterson looks to throw the jab but Michaels is out of range. Peterson throws a right and a left that Michaels avoids nicely. Peterson scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Michaels beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout. Michaels moves away from the strike by Peterson. Michaels connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Michaels showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Peterson.

Peterson misses with a straight right. A jab from Peterson misses. Peterson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels misses with a hook. Peterson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Michaels's head backwards. Michaels misses with a body shot.
Peterson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Michaels fails in his attempt to clinch. Peterson misses with a looping right. A combination from Michaels does no damage. Peterson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Michaels clinches with his opponent.
Peterson lands an uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Michaels is looking to break free of the clinch but Peterson has double underhooks. Peterson breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Michaels with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Michaels looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Michaels get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action! The fighters circling - Peterson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Michaels chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Peterson can pounce on him.
Michaels is breathing heavily. Peterson catches Michaels napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Michaels crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Peterson raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dylan Peterson! Dylan Peterson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
