Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Hegel!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hegel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Crope misses with a body shot.
Crope has Hegel up against the ropes in a clinch.
Come on Hegel - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hegel manages to break the clinch.
Crope tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Crope swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hegel counters with a left and a right that stings Crope.
Crope connects with a right hand. Hegel shakes it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crope fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Crope throws a head kick that misses.
Trent Crope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crope wants to clinch but Hegel slips to the side
and as Crope resets, Hegel pounces with a savage head kick that drops Crope to the mat! Crope looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!

Crope misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hegel.
Crope is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hegel staying out of range there.

Crope moves to clinch but Hegel breaks away
and Hegel counters with a leg kick.
Crope doesn't manage to clinch there - Hegel circles away.

Crope clinches up with Hegel and pushes him back against the ropes.
Crope is trying to break the clinch but Hegel is controlling him.

and Hegel makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Crope really felt that one!

Crope moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Crope connects with an inside leg kick.

and Hegel counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Trent Crope has been cut.

and Hegel counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Crope scores with a jab. Hegel acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Crope is looking to wear down Hegel with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crope throws a poor cross that misses
and before Crope can reset, Hegel rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Crope is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
A punch lands to the side of Hegel 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Hegel makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Crope thows a body shot but no joy.

Crope is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No joy there for Crope, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Trent Crope is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Crope misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crope throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Crope throws a sloppy head kick and Hegel moves out of range easily.

Crope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hegel swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Crope is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Crope tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hegel was well out of range. Poor timing from Crope.

Hegel moves out of range as Crope strikes.

and Hegel counters with a solid body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Crope throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Hegel counters with a right, a left and a big uppercut that drops Crope to the mat! Hegel runs to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. 3,4,5,6 and Crope is back to his feet. He seems ready to continue - the ref agrees so we're back at it!

and Hegel counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Crope out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Hegel is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
