Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Weaver Zee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J M Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punk has chosen Cult of Personality by Living Colour as his entrance music. J M Punk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zee keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Punk.
Zee shoots for a takedown but Punk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Punk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Punk wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Punk as Zee shoots in.

Zee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Punk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Zee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Zee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Punk tries to avoid it but Zee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Punk to the ground. Punk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zee lands a really nice looking cross but Punk seems unphased.

Punk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Punk showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Zee wants to improve his position but Punk is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Punk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Punk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Zee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Punk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zee wants to sweep here but Punk controlling him for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Punk utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Nice takedown defense from Punk. No joy for Zee on that attempt.
Zee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Punk sprawls well. Punk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zee gets slowly back to his feet.
Zee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Punk but Punk pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Punk feints and as Zee raises his hands in defense, Punk changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Punk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zee is proving hard to escape from.

Zee has his foot on Punk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Punk works his way back into a safe position though.
Punk is looking to stand up but Zee won't let him.

Zee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Punk defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zee tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zee looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Punk is defending well. Zee quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Punk has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Zee celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
