The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cronkite decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cronkite has hold of Big Show Jr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Big Show Jr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cronkite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Big Show Jr's waist but Big Show Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cronkite off to one side.

Cronkite shoots for a takedown but Big Show Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Big Show Jr. Cronkite does a little dance to reset his feet.

Melvin Cronkite's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The Big Show Jr decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
