Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaquille Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uzbek Akulov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shaquille Oneil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Uzbek Akulov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Oneil or perhaps it was just good defense by Akulov which made him look bad. Akulov blocks a head kick by Oneil.
Oneil fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Oneil tries for a takedown but Akulov circles away easily and Akulov counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaquille Oneil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Akulov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Oneil is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Akulov is controlling him well. Akulov trying to control the action but Oneil is working from the bottom. Oneil tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Akulov is chipping away with strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oneil tries to buck Akulov off but Akulov is having none of it. Oneil sneaks back into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akulov blocks the strikes from Oneil.

Akulov seems to be working for a kimura but Oneil defends the submission attempt. Still in half guard, Akulov seems content to control. Oneil tries to roll over but Akulov keeps him under control. Akulov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akulov is working for a submission of some sort.

Oneil is trying to escape back to his feet but Akulov uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Oneil wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Akulov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneil tries to get back to half guard but can't. Akulov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Oneil tries to get back to half guard but can't. Akulov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Oneil has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Akulov tries for a kimura but Oneil is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oneil throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Akulov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Akulov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oneil is trying to work for a sweep but Akulov has mounted him! Oneil sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Oneil is trying to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Akulov is keen to just control but Oneil is a slippery customer. Akulov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Oneil is not content to let Akulov control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uzbek Akulov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Oneil closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Oneil manages to break the clinch.
Akulov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Oneil. A chopping leg kick lands by Oneil. Oneil misses with a takedown attempt and Akulov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Akulov. Oneil wants to sweep here but Akulov controlling him for the moment. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Oneil is on top in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Oneil wants to control from the top but Akulov keeps moving. Oneil controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oneil has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Akulov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Oneil is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Akulov pulls down on the head and he's put Oneil to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Uzbek Akulov!
