PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ro Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't Be Touched. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ro Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva darts in trying to clinch
and Jack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jack scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Ro Da Silva has been cut.
Jack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jack wants it to stay on the feet.
Da Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jack is fending him off so far but Da Silva persists. Nope, Jack circles away and we're back to standing.
Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Da Silva eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jack lands a slapping body shot.
Jack fails to land with a series of punches.

Jack lands a big right hand that sends Da Silva crashing to the mat! Jack stays standing though and waves Da Silva back to his feet!


Da Silva is rocked!

Jack drives through and clinches with Da Silva against the cage.

Jack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Jack as Da Silva shoots in.
Jimmy Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ro Da Silva.
Jack throws a right hand that Da Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Da Silva also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jack thuds his right hand into Da Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jack misses with a wild combination.
Jack fails to land with a series of punches.
Jack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jack moves into the clinch successfully.
Da Silva is trying to break free.
Da Silva wants to break free but Jack has control.
Da Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jack looks to land a combination but Da Silva avoids it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jack lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jack lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Da Silva shoots and misses
and Jack counters with a series of strikes. Da Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.


That has opened up Ro Da Silva's cut even more.
Da Silva tries for a takedown but Jack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A head kick by Da Silva misses
and Jack counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Da Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jack defends it nicely.
Da Silva looks winded!
Jack getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A nice combination there by Jack.
Jack misses with a kick to the body.
Jack throws a series of punches but Da Silva avoids them all with ease.

Jack lands a left and a right that send Da Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Jack thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


The cut above Ro Da Silva's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jack lands a nice shot that snaps Da Silva's head back.
Da Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Da Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jack shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Da Silva as he jumps to the side.
Jack lands a jab to the nose.
Jack keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Da Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Da Silva off to one side.
Some bone on bone action there as Jack checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jack blocks the body kick.
Jack defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Da Silva.
A right-left combo lands from Jack.
Jack works over Da Silva's head and body with a nice combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Da Silva tries to clinch up
and Jack counters with a series of strikes. Da Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.
Da Silva throws a head kick but Jack moves out of range.

Jack closes the distance and clinches.
Jack keeps control of Da Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Da Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jack smiles and moves away.
Jack throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jack rushes Da Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Da Silva tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jack avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Jack dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ro Da Silva's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Da Silva misses with a wild combination.
Jack lands a body shot.
Jack throws a one two combo.
Da Silva looks for a takedown but Jack sprawls well.
Jack with a hook.
Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Da Silva eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Oooooh!!! Jack has knocked Da Silva down with a huge combo! Jack steps away and waves a wobbly Da Silva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Da Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Jack finish him?


Ro Da Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Jack feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Da Silva sprawling to the canvas! Da Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jack finish him?!
Jack connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Da Silva out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Jack!
A very excited looking Jimmy Jack made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
