Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mica Makaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Uzi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Slipknot's Psychosocial . Makaaja has chosen BassLovers United - I Can't Dance as his entrance music. Roger Uzi has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Uzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mica Makaaja! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makaaja closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Makaaja is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Makaaja is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Uzi is just riding it out for now. Makaaja eventually gives up the hold. Makaaja is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Makaaja is working for a kimura but Uzi is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makaaja trying to control from half guard but Uzi is working away. Uzi is pressing down on Makaaja's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Makaaja wants to pass the guard but Uzi is keeping the position. Uzi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Makaaja! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mica Makaaja dominated that round. That's time! Uzi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Makaaja with a poor takedown and Uzi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Uzi fails to land with a series of punches.
An inside leg kick from Uzi misses. Uzi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Makaaja circles away quickly and effectively. Makaaja tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Uzi swivels and escapes. Makaaja darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Makaaja is trying to control. Uzi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Uzi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Makaaja is looking to take a break and control but Uzi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Makaaja trying to control from Uzi's half guard. Uzi has other ideas though and has regained full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Makaaja trying to control the position from guard on top but Uzi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Uzi wants to stand and escape but Makaaja is having none of it. Mica Makaaja has got the better of the ground game so far. Makaaja trying to control but Uzi is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Uzi holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mica Makaaja was stalling too much, according to the referee. Uzi scores to the head and body with a nice combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mica Makaaja will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Makaaja shoots in for a double leg but Uzi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
It looks like Mica Makaaja has been cut. Makaaja moves out of range as Uzi strikes. Uzi throws a right and a left that both miss. Makaaja shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Uzi but Uzi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Uzi lands a high kick!
Makaaja shoots in but Uzi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Roger Uzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mica Makaaja. Uzi misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uzi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Makaaja. Makaaja shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Uzi controls Makaaja momentarily but Makaaja frees himself. Uzi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Uzi keeping moving, preventing Makaaja from controlling successfully. Uzi wants to sweep but no luck. Makaaja drops back looking for a leg! Uzi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Uzi manages to kick Makaaja off! Makaaja jumps back into Uzi's guard. Makaaja slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Roger Uzi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Makaaja wants to pass the guard but Uzi is keeping the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Makaaja wants to control from the top but Uzi keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Makaaja avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makaaja takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Makaaja checks the leg kick nicely there.
Makaaja shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Uzi as he jumps to the side. Uzi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Makaaja. Makaaja misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uzi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Makaaja has time to react. Roger Uzi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Uzi throws a shot from downtown. Makaaja moves away and avoids it. Uzi throws a head kick but Makaaja moves out of range.
Makaaja takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Uzi misses with a straight left. Uzi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Uzi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mica Makaaja is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A left and a right from Uzi both land. Nice combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Roger Uzi showed his dominance in that final round. I think Makaaja has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
