Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Payne misses with a two punch combination.
Payne lands a jab to the nose.
Haze shoots in for a double leg but Payne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck for Haze with that takedown attempt.
Haze throws a jab when Payne was well out of range.
Payne walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Payne is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Haze takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Haze ducks under a wild hook from Payne.
Payne swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Haze counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Payne's guard now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Payne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haze's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Haze tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haze looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Payne passes into side control.
Payne is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Haze is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Haze gets back to half guard.
Haze is staying active underneath Payne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Haze is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Payne wants to take a breather but Haze is having none of it.
Payne is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Phil Payne has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Payne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Haze.

Haze wants to pass the guard but Payne is defending well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Payne can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Haze passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Payne!

Phil Payne's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Phil Payne's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

In his post fight interview, Freddie Haze gave a big smile as he said 'You suck braaah! '.
