Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ned Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm has chosen ThunderStruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alonso tries to avoid it but Storm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alonso to the ground. Alonso escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alonso misses with a combination
so Storm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Storm drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Storm jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alonso is trying to keep Storm in close.
Storm thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Storm drops back for a leg! Storm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alonso swivels though and keeps the full guard. Alonso pulls Storm in close to his closed guard and prevents Storm from doing any damage or advancing position. Storm is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alonso manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm is in all sorts of trouble here.
Storm is in a horrible position here. Alonso smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Storm is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Alonso working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Alonso cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alonso wants to pass to mount but Storm is defending the position. Storm is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Alonso scores with a couple of nice shots. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Storm blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alonso. Alonso seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Storm looking for submissions off his back. Storm looking for a kimura from the bottom but Alonso passes into side control! Alonso lands a few punches from side control. Storm tries to improve position but can't. Storm sneaks back into half guard. Storm has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Alonso escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Alonso! Storm is not content to let Alonso control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Storm is looking for a sweep. Alonso is working Storm over with some ground and pound from side control. Alonso cracks Storm with an elbow. That is naaassty. Alonso is trying to get an arm triangle but Storm is defending well. Storm is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Alonso's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Storm has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Alonso. Oh but Storm has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Alonso goes limp - he's gone! Storm jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
