The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Edgar moves to clinch but Jones breaks away
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Frankie Edgar has been cut.

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Edgar is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Edgar's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Edgar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Edgar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Edgar's closed guard. He's half up but Edgar has locked on to an arm! Uh oh!
