The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvador tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Obasi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Obasi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Salvador counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Obasi is trying to drag Salvador to the mat but Salvador just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Obasi is looking for a kimura but Salvador is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Obasi to get the leverage.

After the fight, Ayila Obasi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
