28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Silva! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bellator. The fighters circling - Bellator throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice defenses there by Silva. Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bellator to the mat! Bellator manages to get full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Bellator looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bellator lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva! Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Bellator has a good base and remains in mount. Bellator lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bellator looking for a guillotine from mount but Silva is having none of it. Bellator wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bellator. Bellator raining down shots from the mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Bellator there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
BOOM! Bellator connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Silva is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bellator is working for a guillotine from mount but Silva frees his head quite easily.
Bellator lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Silva! Bellator sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Silva and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
