Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Skantze Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentijn Sammens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammens has chosen PRIDE FC - Opening as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skantze Jr throws a series of punches but Sammens moves out of range.
Sammens feints and then cracks Skantze Jr's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Skantze Jr down.
A punch combination from Skantze Jr misses.
Sammens is looking to slow Skantze Jr down with leg kicks.
Skantze Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sammens looks to land a body kick but Skantze Jr moved away.
Sammens fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Skantze Jr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sammens looks to score with a jab to the body but Skantze Jr is just out of range.
That kick from Sammens tenderised Skantze Jr's leg. Skantze Jr is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sammens connects with a high kick.
Skantze Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Skantze Jr throws a nice looking combination but Sammens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sammens scores with a takedown into Skantze Jr's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Skantze Jr has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sammens should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Skantze Jr has tightened it up now! Sammens should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A pretty intense looking John Skantze Jr took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
