The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawanmali gets caught napping as Benson dives in and scores a takedown. Lawanmali manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Benson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lawanmali is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lawanmali has escaped and now he's on top!
Lawanmali tries to free his leg and advance position but Benson is retaining full guard.

Lawanmali wants to get back to his feet but Benson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Benson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lawanmali is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
