Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Artings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Buckman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wanna Be a Balla-Lil Troy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ross Artings! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buster Buckman! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Artings moves into the clinch. Buckman lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Ross Artings has been cut. Artings wants to break free but Buckman has control.
Buckman connects with a knee to the head.
Artings goes for a takedown attempt but Buckman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Artings is breathing heavily. Artings rushes Buckman and presses him up against the cage. Buckman tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Buckman lands a shoulder strike. Artings changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buckman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Artings tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buckman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Artings somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Artings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buckman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Artings's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buckman is pushing down on Artings's leg trying to pass to half guard. Artings is fighting to maintain full guard but Buckman has managed to sneak the leg through. Buckman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Buckman wants to free his trapped foot but Artings is holding on for dear life with his legs. Buckman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Buckman thows a huge punch but Artings dodges it nicely.
Buckman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Artings has managed to free his arm - good work. Buckman is keen to just control but Artings is a slippery customer. Buckman is looking to advance position but Artings won't allow it. Buckman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Artings defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buckman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Artings does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Artings knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buckman on the ground. Buckman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Artings haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Artings is defending against the submission attempts here by Buckman.
Buckman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Artings keeps working. Buckman is looking to advance position but Artings won't allow it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Buckman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Artings is just riding it out for now. Buckman eventually gives up the hold. Artings blocking the ground and pound attempt from Buckman. Buckman wants to take a breather but Artings is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Artings wants to get back to full guard.

Buckman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Artings doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Buckman. Buckman is looking to advance position but Artings won't allow it. Buckman is trying to control. Artings wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Artings is in trouble now - Buckman has advanced to mount! Buckman scoring with strikes but Artings is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buster Buckman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ross Artings's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Artings fails to land the takedown. Buckman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Artings swats him away and circles back towards the center. Buckman is looking to clinch. Buckman is looking to clinch. Buckman fails in his attempt to clinch. Artings shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buckman sprawls well. Buckman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Artings gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Buckman or perhaps it was just good defense by Artings which made him look bad. Artings stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Artings wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Buckman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Artings regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Buckman won't allow Artings to get back to his feet. Artings is trying to keep Buckman in close.

Buckman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Artings is keeping the position for now. Buckman with a flurry of punches that miss. Buckman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Artings's guard. Buckman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Buckman wants to control but Artings is keeping him busy. Buster Buckman has got the better of the ground game so far. Buckman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Buckman prevents Artings from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buckman moves into full mount! Artings won't be happy about that! Artings is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Artings that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Buckman tries to control but Artings wriggling away. Buckman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice elbow there by Buckman. Buckman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Buckman punching from mount but Artings doing a good job of avoiding damage. Buckman working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Artings looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Buckman! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Buster Buckman! In his post fight interview, Buster Buckman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
