Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Point Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolai Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Point Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicolai Li! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Li throws a series of punches but Fighter avoids them all with ease. Li punishes Fighter's body with a nice straight punch. Li throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Li pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Li lands with an overhand left. Li plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Point Fighter has been cut. Li rushes Fighter and presses him up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Li misses with a short punch on the inside. I was talking to Fighter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Li swings wildly with an uppercut but Fighter uses good head movement to avoid it. Fighter avoids a wild elbow strike from Li. Li misses with an elbow strike.
Li lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Li working aggressively here.
With the fighters up against the cage, Li throws an elbow but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Li lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Li misses with a short punch on the inside. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fighter as Li tries to tie him up. Fighter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Li after a bit of a struggle. Li breaks the clinch.
Li looks to land a right hand but Fighter moved out of range. Li throws a sloppy head kick and Fighter moves out of range easily. Fighter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Li defends it nicely. A punch lands to the side of Li 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Li connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Li clinches with his opponent.
Fighter avoids a wild elbow strike from Li. Li is trying to break the clinch but Fighter has him pressed against the cage. Li leaning against his opponent.
Li pushes off an throws an elbow but Fighter leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Li stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Li lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Fighter jumps guard and drags Li to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Li won't allow Fighter to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Li wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving. Fighter throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Fighter is trying to control the position but Li postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Fighter wants to sweep but no luck. Fighter is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Li has his hands clasped together but Fighter extends and breaks Li's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Fighter.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Point Fighter! After winning the bout, Point Fighter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
