The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Ertu moves into the clinch.
Clack is working for takedown but De Ertu is calmly controlling the position for now.
Clack tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
De Ertu successfully pulls guard.
Clack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

De Ertu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Clack's best efforts.
De Ertu is trying to get back to full guard.
Clack stops De Ertu from getting back to his feet.
Clack uses his free foot to push down on De Ertu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Ertu.

Clack avoids the attempt from De Ertu to control.

De Ertu is looking to improve his position but Clack isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
