Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicolas De Ertu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Clack! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Ertu moves into the clinch. Clack is working for takedown but De Ertu is calmly controlling the position for now. Clack tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. De Ertu successfully pulls guard.
Clack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Clack landing some decent shots from guard. Clack advances position into side control! De Ertu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Clack's best efforts. De Ertu is trying to get back to full guard. Clack stops De Ertu from getting back to his feet.
Clack uses his free foot to push down on De Ertu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Ertu. Clack with the ground and pound from mount.
It looks like Nicolas De Ertu has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clack controlling from the full mount. Clack working away from the top, dropping strikes.
De Ertu is rocked!
Nicolas De Ertu's cut is getting worse. De Ertu is trying to escape the mount.
De Ertu wants to control but Clack is having none of it. Clack tries to control but De Ertu wriggling away. Clack avoids the attempt from De Ertu to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Ertu is looking to improve his position but Clack isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Ertu taking shots to the head. Oh De Ertu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, Nicolas De Ertu's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nicolas De Ertu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kenny Clack! During a confident post fight interview, Kenny Clack thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
