Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flint Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kent might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'll be Back. Peter Kent could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Flint Marko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flint Marko!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kent tries to clinch up but Marko circles away and keeps his distance.

Kent clinches up against the cage.

Kent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kent throws a sloppy body shot

and Marko counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kent not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Marko trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Marko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flint Marko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kent misses with a wild body shot.
Peter Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marko goes for a double leg but Kent avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kent continues to drive forward.

Kent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kent circles away quickly and effectively.
Marko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Marko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Kent counters with a right hand to the body.

Kent thows a left - swing and a miss!
Marko drops his hands momentarily and Kent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Peter Kent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marko on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Marko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marko throws a body punch but Kent moves out of range.
Kent throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Marko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Peter Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flint Marko.
Kent tries to clinch but Marko moves out of range.
Donk. Kent catches Marko right on the button with a cross.
Kent lands a glancing blow to the side of Marko's head.
Marko shoots for a takedown but Kent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kent circles away.
Marko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Marko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kent on his heels. He'll look to pass Kent's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kent wants to stand up but Marko is controlling him.
Kent throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Kent throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Marko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kent swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kent not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kent wants to stand up but Marko is controlling him.
Kent keeping moving, preventing Marko from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Peter Kent just wasn't active enough.
Marko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marko shoots for a takedown but Kent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kent's waist but Kent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marko off to one side.
Marko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kent as he avoids it easily.

Kent closes the distance and clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kent breaks from the clinch.
Kent throws a right and a left that Marko avoids nicely.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kent.
Good standup being displayed there by Kent as he connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marko takes a jab right on the kisser.
Marko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kent pinned against the cage. Kent gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A lazy left from Kent finds it's target.
Kent catches Marko with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marko moves away.
Marko misses with a takedown attempt
and Kent counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marko thinking.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marko was well out of range. Poor timing from Kent.
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marko moves away.
Marko takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Marko misses with a takedown attempt
and Kent counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Kent dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kent throws an overhand right that has Marko reeling! Kent follows up with more punches and Marko is out cold! This one is all over!

Peter Kent decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
