Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Victor Caffey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Ribera!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caffey scores with a kick to the midsection.
Ribera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Caffey but Caffey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ribera tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ribera drives through with a takedown into Caffey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ribera wants to control from the top but Caffey keeps moving.
Ribera sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Caffey's guard.
Ribera is looking for a kimura here.
Caffey is trying to stand up here but Ribera is controlling him well.
Caffey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Caffey tries to get out of the position.

Ribera wants to free his trapped foot but Caffey is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Ribera has hold of Caffey's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Caffey seems comfortable defending it but Ribera has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Caffey is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Caffey is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ribera couldn't care less - he's delighted!
