Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Steggle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Steggle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Barry Wilkinson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Donald Grub.

Wilkinson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wilkinson tries to move to mount but Steggle blocks the move with his legs. Steggle manages to get back to half guard. Steggle gets full guard. Wilkinson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steggle is keeping the position for now. Steggle trying to keep a closed guard but Wilkinson is proving a slippery customer.
Steggle keeping full guard, as Wilkinson tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilkinson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Steggle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Steggle has escaped and now he's on top!
Wilkinson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steggle defends it easily.
Wilkinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steggle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Steggle has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Wilkinson is looking to sweep but instead, Steggle has passed into half guard.
Steggle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wilkinson is just riding it out for now. Steggle eventually gives up the hold. Wilkinson wants to get back to full guard.

Wilkinson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Steggle trying to pass the guard but Wilkinson defending well. Still in half guard, Steggle seems content to control. Steggle is trying to control. Wilkinson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Steggle is pressing down on Wilkinson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wilkinson is holding on for now. Steggle looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Steggle trying to control the action but Wilkinson is working from the bottom.

Wilkinson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steggle's waist but Steggle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilkinson off to one side. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wilkinson is defended easily by Steggle. Wilkinson looks winded!

Wilkinson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Steggle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Steggle trying to control the position but Wilkinson is working away. Wilkinson is looking to reverse the position. Steggle wants to stand but Wilkinson is controlling his arm. Wilkinson looking for a sweep but Steggle has passed into full mount! Oh no! Steggle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilkinson is looking to escape.

Steggle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wilkinson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steggle keeps control of the position as Wilkinson tries to break free.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Steggle dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wilkinson looks for a takedown but Steggle sprawls well.
Wilkinson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Steggle quickly recovers to half guard. Luke Steggle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Steggle won't allow Wilkinson to pass to mount. Steggle tries to roll over but Wilkinson keeps him under control. Steggle works his way to full guard. Good work.

Wilkinson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wilkinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steggle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steggle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilkinson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilkinson's back! Wilkinson tries to escape the position.
Steggle sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Wilkinson taps out!
