Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Buddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Thunder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Buddy! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder stuffs the takedown attempt from Buddy. Buddy gets slowly back to his feet. Buddy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Thunder gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Thunder avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Thunder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Buddy is looking to stand up but Thunder won't let him. Buddy is in close to Thunder's body, working some short punches and elbows. Thunder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Buddy postures up in Thunder's guard and throws a big left but Thunder blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thunder is trying to keep Buddy in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Donk. Buddy catches Thunder right on the button with a cross.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Thunder tries to clinch but Buddy is having none of it. Thunder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Buddy swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Thunder does no damage. Buddy lands a jab-cross combination. Thunder wants to clinch up but Buddy keeps it at a distance. Buddy scores with a punch to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thunder misses with a takedown attempt and Buddy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Thunder is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thunder won't allow Buddy to pass to mount. Oh Thunder is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Thunder blocking the ground and pound attempt from Buddy. Thunder flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Thunder seems to have got his legs back now. Buddy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Buddy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thunder knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Buddy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Buddy seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Buddy landing with the ground and pound. Buddy wants to stand but Thunder is controlling his posture from full guard. Buddy being controlled here momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Buddy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Buddy dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jacob Thunder's cut. That's time! Thunder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Thunder counters with a head kick. Thunder forces Buddy back against the cage and clinches. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Thunder. Thunder is pressed up against the cage. Buddy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thunder down to the mat. Thunder avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thunder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buddy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Thunder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buddy circles away. Thunder tries to clinch up. Buddy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Buddy misses with a double jab.
Thunder tries to clinch up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Thunder scores with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Thunder gets a clinch. Thunder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Buddy gets a takedown into half guard. Ground and pound from Buddy. Thunder wants to control but Buddy is keeping busy.
Buddy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thunder with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Thunder tries to roll over but Buddy keeps him under control. It looks like Buddy is going to stand back up.

Buddy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thunder pinned against the cage. Thunder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jacob Thunder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Buddy. Buddy throws a good cross that connects.

Thunder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buddy as he jumps to the side. Buddy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thunder. Thunder is looking to slow Buddy down with leg kicks. Buddy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thunder counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Buddy tries to get to full guard but Thunder has control of the leg. Thunder wants to work for an arm triangle but Buddy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Buddy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thunder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thunder wants to control but Buddy is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thunder throwing shots but Buddy is blocking nicely. Buddy is refusing to be controlled, as Thunder sits in half guard. Buddy pushes Thunder off looking to stand but Thunder dives back in and keeps control.
Thunder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buddy keeps working. Thunder is really struggling to control Buddy but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thunder fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Thunder is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Buddy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thunder's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thunder working a defensive guard here.

Buddy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Thunder is looking to sinch up a triangle. Buddy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Thunder's body to avoid the submission. Thunder has instead reached around Buddy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Thunder arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
