Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kesigan Weidman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yuri Boyka! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyka rushes Weidman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Weidman drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Boyka showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Weidman has his foot on Boyka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boyka works his way back into a safe position though. Weidman has a closed guard, preventing Boyka from standing up. Weidman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boyka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Weidman missing with knees to the body.

Weidman is looking to clinch but Boyka is avoiding it.
Weidman tries to clinch and Boyka counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weidman tries to clinch up and Boyka counters with a nice uppercut. Boyka clinches up with Weidman and pushes him back against the cage. Boyka managing to block the knees to the body from Weidman.
Boyka is looking to break free of the clinch but Weidman has double underhooks. Boyka avoiding damage as Weidman throws knees to the body.

The referee is keeping an eye on Boyka - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Boyka jumps guard but Weidman stands there with Boyka around his waist. Boyka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Weidman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Boyka avoids it. Weidman has had enough of the clinch but Boyka keeps him there for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weidman tries to land knees in the clinch but Boyka avoids the damage to the body. Weidman is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Weidman missing with knees to the body.
Weidman tries to break free but Boyka pushes him back against the cage. Weidman gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Weidman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boyka is just riding it out for now. Weidman eventually gives up the hold. Weidman is trying to work for a kimura but Boyka is defending well.
Weidman is breathing heavily. Weidman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka controlling the position for now. Boyka makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Weidman closes the distance looking to clinch and Boyka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Weidman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Weidman doesn't manage to clinch there - Boyka circles away.
Boyka instigates a clinch. Boyka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Weidman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boyka circles away. A punch lands to the side of Weidman 's head but he takes it in his stride. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boyka rushes Weidman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Boyka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Boyka keeps control of Weidman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Boyka avoiding damage as Weidman throws knees to the body.

Yuri Boyka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boyka forces Weidman back against the cage and clinches. Boyka avoiding damage as Weidman throws knees to the body.
Weidman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boyka smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kesigan Weidman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Weidman closes the distance but Boyka moves to the side and Boyka counters with a head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuri Boyka dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Weidman tries to keep at a distance but Boyka has taken the fight into the clinch. Boyka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Weidman tries to move into range but Boyka moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Weidman blocks a head kick by Boyka.
Weidman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Boyka clinches up with Weidman and pushes him back against the cage. Boyka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Weidman moves to clinch but Boyka breaks away and Boyka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Weidman tries to clinch up but Boyka circles away and keeps his distance. Boyka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Weidman tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Boyka counter with a right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boyka leaves Weidman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boyka throws a series of punches but Weidman moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weidman tries to clinch but Boyka is having none of it. Weidman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Weidman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boyka connects with the punch.
Weidman is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Weidman is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Boyka Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Weidman is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yuri Boyka! A relieved looking Yuri Boyka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
