Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Johnson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Johnson trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is pressing down on Tyson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Tyson won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet. Tyson preventing the sweep. Tyson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tyson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyson is keeping the position for now. Tyson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Johnson passes into side control.
Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tyson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tyson's coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $175 fee) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. and Tyson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Tyson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tyson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tyson is trying to get an arm triangle but Johnson is defending well. Johnson is trying to control Tyson's posture but Tyson avoids it. Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Johnson is looking to control Tyson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson has a hand on Tyson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Tyson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Johnson wants to control but Tyson is having none of it. Johnson working to try and regain half guard.
Johnson tries to hold on but Tyson postures up. Chris Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson tries to stand up but Johnson had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard. Tyson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Johnson is trying to control. Tyson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tyson is trying to get back to full guard. Johnson escapes and gets back to his feet. Tyson throws a right and a left that both miss. Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Tyson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Johnson prevents Tyson from getting the reversal. Johnson trying to control but Tyson is having none of it. Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tyson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Tyson is squirming around, avoiding Johnson's attempts to control the action. Johnson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johnson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyson is looking to escape. Johnson seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Tyson is holding on tight.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tyson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johnson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tyson?

Tyson clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage. Tyson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tyson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sloppy strikes from Tyson. Those never looked like landing. Johnson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A big left from Tyson misses. Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tyson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Tyson actively working from the bottom here. Tyson works his way to full guard. Good work. This has been an exciting period of action! Tyson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tyson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson stands and throws Tyson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working. An elbow from Johnson crashes against the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage. Tyson tries to break free but Johnson pushes him back against the cage. Johnson pulls Tyson into guard.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Chris Johnson. I've got Johnson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
