Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stone Island (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boans is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Round and Round by Ratt. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stone Island! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Boans! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boans dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Island is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boans's half guard. Island prevents Boans from standing back up.
Island seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boans does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Island wants to work for an arm triangle but Boans is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Island trying to mount his opponent but Boans defends it. Boans is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Island is stalling here. Boans is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Island seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Boans has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Island might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sloppy strikes there by Boans. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boans stands up and we're back to a striking position. Boans throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Island fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boans works the jab nicely.
It looks like Stone Island has been cut. Boans rushes Island and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Island misses with a punch to the body.
Island trying to stall but Boans improves his position.
Island fails to pull guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Island is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Boans to keep the fight standing. Island misses with the head strike.
Boans breaks from the clinch.
Island misses with a takedown attempt and Boans counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stone Island. That's going to take a lot out of him. Island darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Island perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boans wants to get back to his feet. Island looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Boans pushes Island off looking to stand but Island dives back in and keeps control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Island stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stone Island wasn't doing enough on the ground. Island wants to clinch up but Boans keeps it at a distance. Boans throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Island misses with a takedown and Boans counters by clinching up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Island is trying to pull guard but Boans turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Island tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boans has picked Island up - he's going for a ride! Boans dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Boans is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Island is trying to maintain the position but Boans is very close to passing his half guard. Island is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Boans scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boans is thwarting Island's attempts to control the position. Island avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boans. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boans not doing much here.
Boans landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Boans dominated that round. The cut man is working on Stone Island's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Island misses with a takedown attempt - Boans sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Boans cracks Island with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Boans comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Boans bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Boans ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Island moves away. Island shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Island showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Island stops Boans from getting back to his feet.
Island stalling away here and it's allowed Boans to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Island trying to control the position from guard on top but Boans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boans can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Island is really struggling to control Boans but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone Island has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Boans has Island up against the cage in a clinch.
Island tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Boans just stands there and leans against the cage. Boans breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boans dips to his left and cracks Island with an uppercut! Boans gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Boans breaks from the clinch.
Boans cracks Island with a big right hand and Island goes down!
Island is rocked!
Stone Island's cut is getting worse. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Island wants to sweep but no luck. Oh Island is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Boans stands up over Island, holding on to his feet. Boans throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Island is out cold! Boans lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
