Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A choreographed right hand from Ryan misses the target.

Doe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ryan sprawls well initially but Doe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Doe is working for a kimura but Ryan is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ryan is looking to stand up but Doe isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Doe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ryan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Doe, into his guard.
Ryan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Doe is proving hard to escape from.

Doe isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ryan stacks Doe on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ryan!

Doe is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ryan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ryan for a finish.

Doe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Doe will probably get the nod.

Doe feints and as Ryan raises his hands in defense, Doe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ryan pushes Doe off and scrambles back to his feet.
