Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Harris misses. Martin closes the distance and lands a one-two. Harris tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Martin was well out of range. Poor timing from Harris. Martin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Martin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Harris in his tracks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris slips a straight right by Martin. Harris throws a hook to the side of Martin's head but Martin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Harris checks a leg kick. Harris swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris throws a nice inside leg kick. An inside leg kick from Harris misses. Martin drops Harris with a beautiful combination! Harris stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Martin is looking for the KO!
It looks like Paul Harris has been cut. Martin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harris. Martin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Harris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Harris throws a jab when Martin was well out of range. Harris moves into range and connects with a jab. Harris falls off balance throwing a combination
and Martin counters with a straight that turns Harris's legs to rubber! Martin pushes forward with more strikes and Harris goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
