0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kettu Pentti! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pentti stuffs the takedown. Pentti looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! churchill shoots for a double leg takedown but Pentti sprawls well. He's pushed churchill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. churchill looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pentti is looking to improve his position.
churchill sitting and controlling from the half guard. churchill wants to take a breather but Pentti is having none of it. Pentti wants to control but churchill is keeping busy.
Pentti tries to roll over but churchill keeps him under control. churchill wants to work for an arm triangle but Pentti is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. churchill looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pentti! Pentti regains half guard. churchill controlling the action here. Pentti wants to control but churchill passes into side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pentti looks to move to half guard but instead churchill has passed into mount! Damn! churchill controlling from the full mount. Pentti's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. churchill lands a big shot there that rocks Pentti but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pentti is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. churchill controlling from the full mount. Pentti keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pentti is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. churchill has hold of Pentti's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pentti manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Pentti is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. churchill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. churchill looking to control but Pentti is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. churchill is really struggling to control Pentti but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pentti really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. churchill working away from the top, dropping strikes. churchill prevents Pentti from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

churchill shoots in for a takedown but Pentti shows good takedown defense. churchill shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pentti's guard. churchill slips nicely into half guard. churchill seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pentti trying to control but churchill postures up.
churchill prevents Pentti from improving his position. Pentti avoiding damage under a succession of punches from churchill. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. churchill lands a nice short elbow. Pentti tries to regain full guard. Instead though, churchill has advanced to mount. Uh oh. churchill trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pentti is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. You get the feeling that Pentti really doesn't like being in this position too much.

churchill scoring with strikes but Pentti is staying in there. churchill trying to control but he's not successful this time. churchill content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pentti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
churchill gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Pentti with a lazy takedown attempt and churchill counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pentti won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pentti is positioning himself to get back to half guard. churchill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pentti is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pentti is not content to let churchill control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. churchill working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pentti is looking for a sweep. churchill tries for a kimura but Pentti is defending well. Pentti can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

churchill closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. churchill lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
churchill is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
churchill frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. churchill prevents Pentti from getting the reversal. Pentti prevents churchill from taking his back. churchill can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pentti is looking to escape. Both fighters are breathing heavily. churchill with good strikes from the mount here!

Pentti tries to improve his position but instead churchill has taken his back! churchill trying to control. churchill has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Pentti. Pentti tries to escape but churchill has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Pentti manages to reverse the position and now he's in churchill's guard. Nice work there by Pentti.
Pentti stands and throws churchill's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pentti tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pentti has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pentti goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, churchill has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pentti but great work by churchill. churchill has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pentti! churchill prevents Pentti from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. churchill looking to control but Pentti is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pentti gets back to half guard. Ground and pound from churchill. churchill trying to control the pace. churchill is keen to just control but Pentti is a slippery customer. winston churchill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. churchill looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. churchill is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. churchill lands with a punch from half guard. churchill perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pentti has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, churchill escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by churchill! Kettu Pentti has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pentti is trying to improve his position. churchill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pentti is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. churchill decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! winston churchill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for churchill, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
