Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner comes to the cage accompanied by M.O.P. Ante Up. Carl Jackson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joel Conner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Jackson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away. Conner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab. Conner shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Conner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joel Conner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Conner. Conner trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jackson is trying to control Conner's posture but Conner avoids it. That's one minute gone in the round. Conner looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Conner trying to control the position but Jackson is working away. Conner working away. Conner tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jackson gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conner is working for a submission of some sort.
Jackson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Conner is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Conner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head. Conner is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joel Conner wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Conner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Conner swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. Conner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Conner is in Jackson's guard. Conner looking to pass the guard. Conner is breathing heavily. Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Conner from controlling successfully. Conner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson has control of Conner's left arm, preventing Conner from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Conner! Jackson prevents Conner from getting the reversal. Jackson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jackson but it's paid off an Conner is forced to tap! Nice work by Jackson.

Carl Jackson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. In defeat, Joel Conner stepped up to the mic, saying 'He was a great fighter and I look forward to the rematch.'.
