Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janja Paic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cox has chosen Razormind Remix as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Janja Paic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Cox!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paic tries to avoid it but Cox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paic to the ground. Paic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Paic fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cox gets tackled into the cage by Paic. Paic maintains the clinch.
Cox ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cox no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Paic looking to sit in guard and control but Cox gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesse Cox was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Paic clinches up with Cox and pushes him back against the cage.
Paic is trying to force a seperation but Cox has the dominant position.
Paic prevents the takedown attempt.
Paic jumps guard but Cox turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Paic has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cox after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Janja Paic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paic looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Paic goes for a takedown attempt but Cox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jesse Cox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cox shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Paic pinned against the cage. Paic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Cox.

Cox tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Paic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Paic is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cox to keep the fight standing.

Paic is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Cox tries to land a knee to the head but Paic blocks with his arms.
Cox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cox scores with a takedown into Paic's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paic has his foot on Cox's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cox works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Cox has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jesse Cox hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Horrible takedown by Cox or perhaps it was just good defense by Paic which made him look bad.
Cox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Paic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cox somewhat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Paic rushes Cox and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jesse Cox will probably get the nod.
That's time! Paic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cox tries to clinch up but Paic circles away and keeps his distance.
Cox misses with a wild combination.
Cox shoots in and drives through. Paic sprawls well.
Cox scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Paic wants to control but Cox postures up.
Cox tries to get to his feet but Paic is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Cox in his guard.

Cox is breathing heavily.

Paic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cox has picked Paic up and slammed him! Paic can't keep hold of the triangle and Cox manages to pass to side control!
Paic is trying to buck Cox off.

Cox wants to stand but Paic has his arm trapped.
Paic tries to bench press Cox off him but Cox keeps the position.

Cox has hold of Paic's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Paic tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cox cranks the arm and Paic screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Paic, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jesse Cox!
In his post fight interview, Jesse Cox started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
